Author Neil Gaiman has confirmed that film rights to his “American Gods” novel were just sold reports Digital Spy.
To whom though is the big question. Gaiman played it coy, not saying names but giving away this quote – “There is one cinematographer and director on board, who has many, many Oscars and is a genius. I love the fact that he fell in love with this about six or seven years ago and has not given up and just kept coming back and coming back.”
The author is planning to meet said director shortly. The book itself, released in 2001, follows an ex-convict on a cross-country journey through a modern day United States where all the mythological gods and monsters of ancient history have immigrated to.
