Despite one of the provisos of his contract being that the third film would be the last, Liam Neeson says a fourth film may happen in the near future.
Asked by Fox News if he’d return for a fourth instalment, Neeson says there is always a chance: “There’s always… I think if audiences go and see it and they like these characters, I mean, I’d love to do something with Forest [Whitaker] again, and if it’s in a Taken 4 scenario… great.”
The third film in the series opened to $40.4 million over the weekend. That’s less than the $49 million opening of “Taken 2” but more than high $20M range opening of Neeson’s two big films of last year – “Non-Stop” and “A Walk Among the Tombstones”.
After one weekend, “Taken 3” has already rack up a $91 million worldwide gross from a $48 million budget.
