Neeson: Don’t Expect A Fourth “Taken”

Last year’s third film in the “Taken” series wasn’t well received though did good box-office. It also effectively closed out the series, but one can never say never when it comes to ending action franchises.

Liam Neeson appeared on The Late Show this week in order to promote “A Monster Calls” and host Stephen Colbert asked him about the possibility of fourth “Taken” happening at some point. Neeson made it quite clear – he’s done with the franchise:

“No, there’s not. There’s only so many times your daughter can be taken. Actually if we do have another it will be, ‘Please can you take my daughter’?”

NBC is continuing the franchise in TV form though with Clive Standen taking on the role in “Taken: The Series” launching early next year.
