NBC’s “The Blacklist” Shatters DVR Record

NBC’s “The Blacklist” has set a DVR record – becoming the first broadcast series to add more than 6 million viewers to its count between its overnight ratings (Live+SD) and its ratings after a week of DVR usage is taken into account (Live+7).

The show’s second episode saw 11.35 million viewers on the night of airing, but by week’s end that figure had jumped to 17.9 million viewers. It also retained 100% of the 5.49 rating from the premiere in the 18-49 key demo.

That makes it the ONLY new series this season where the second episode held onto all of its premiere rating. In comparison, the next two most successful newcomers – “Sleepy Hollow” and “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” – dropped 9% and 23% respectively.
