NBC is reportedly working on a spin-off to its long-running and cancelled last year fantasy drama series “Grimm” which Universal Television will produce.
The new series builds on the mythology of the original and will feature returning fan favorites while also introducing new characters, new dangers and new mysteries.
The untitled project hails from writer and executive producer Melissa Glenn (“Zoo,” “Iron Fist”), while Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner will executive produce. In addition David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, two of the original series’ three co-creators, will serve as consulting producers.
David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee, and Elizabeth Tulloch all starred in the original which aired over 120 episodes across a six-season run.
