Nanjiani Set For Next “Men in Black”

Previously rumored the other week, “The Big Sick” and “Silicon Valley” star Kumail Nanjiani has officially joined the cast of the “Men in Black” spin-off at Sony Pictures reports That Hashtag Show.

Nanjiani will play an alien named Pawny, described as a “funny, wise-cracking, sex-driven alien” from a civilization that exists on a Chessboard. Pawny will reportedly serve as comic relief between Chris Hemsworth’s Agent H and Liam Neeson’s unnamed head of the Men in Black’s U.K. branch.

Nanjiani himself has yet to confirm this news. Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson will star in the film in which Thompson plays a woman who is aware of the existence of extraterrestrial life and wants to join up with the Men in Black.

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are not expected to appear in the spin-off which will shoot in the UK and Germany with shooting to begin this summer. F. Gary Grey is helming the project which is targeting a June 14th 2019 release.
