Rising director Terence Nance (“An Oversimplification of Her Beauty”) is reportedly in advanced negotiations to direct the Lebron James-led “Space Jam” sequel at Warner Bros. Pictures.
The follow-up to the 1996 Michael Jordan and Looney Tunes characters-led film has been developed with the new Los Angeles Laker forward in mind, but he won’t officially sign on to star until he approves the script. Other basketball players are expected to cameo.
“Fast Five” director Justin Lin was previously in talks to direct from a script by Andrew Dodge (“Bad Words”). Charlie Ebersol is expected to produce. Nance is an executive producer on HBO’s “Random Acts of Flyness” premiering this weekend.
