Fox Searchlight Pictures has announced today that filming is slated to begin April 4th and will run through mid-June on “My Cousin Rachel” for Free Range Films.
The dark romance follows a young Englishman who plots revenge against his mysterious, beautiful cousin, believing that she murdered his guardian. But his feelings become complicated as he finds himself falling under the beguiling spell of her charms.
Based on the classic novel by “Rebecca” and “The Birds” author Daphne du Maurier and adapted by filmmaker Roger Michell (“Notting Hill,” “Changing Lanes”), the film stars Rachel Weisz, Sam Claflin, Iain Glen, Holliday Grainger and Simon Russell Beale.
Kevin Loader will produce and filming will take place in England and Italy.
