Following on from comments by director Josh Boone over the weekend about storylines that inspired it, it seems 20th Century Fox’s X-Men spin-off previously dubbed “New Mutants” is slightly changing up its title.
Le Journal de Montreal (via Omega Underground) reports that the film will go by the official title of “X-Men: The New Mutants” and will begin production in May in Montreal, not April as Boone had suggested earlier. “X-Men: The New Mutants” is said to be targeting a Spring 2018 release.
In other sequel news, THR reports that the upcoming “Jurassic World 2” won’t be making a change to the way it sounds with Michael Giacchino confirming he’s returning to score the film which is said to be considerably darker than the first.
J.A. Bayona helms “Jurassic World 2” which opens June 22nd 2018.
