Stallone wrote the screenplay and is directing the film, which began production this week in Brazil and will later movie to Louisiana.

Several dozen photos from the set went online a few days ago and can be seen at Coming Soon.

A blog has also gone up from the film’s unit publicist talking about the scale of the production. Here’s a sample: “With two units shooting, 300 crew members, half who speak only Portuguese, car stunt, Statham hanging out of a plane, explosives, hundred extras and 85 degree heat with 85% humidity. . .I’ve worked on a few action films (T3, Collateral Damage,Eraser, Sixth Day) but I can tell you THIS IS BIG!! it is also the biggest film ever shot in Brazil (The Hulk doesn’t count).”
