Murphy Talks A Third “Nutty Professor”

At the “Shrek Forever After” premiere over the weekend, actor Eddie Murphy told Access Hollywood that “You know what, there might be another ‘Nutty Professor’.”

Murphy goes on to say “We kind of wrote something that might be kind of funny. If the studios want to do it, we’ll do it. If you don’t see it, the studio was like, ‘This isn’t funny.'”

Talk of a third film in the ‘Nutty’ series has been around for a few years, but has never been more than idle whispers. Despite a critical drubbing, the first sequel “The Klumps” took in over $120 million at the box-office in 2000.

Murphy was also asked about the more recently rumoured fourth “Beverly HIlls Cop” – “I don’t know, they’ve been developing that ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ [sequel] for years and years and years. I don’t know what ‘s going on with that.”
