Disney Pictures is set to turn one of its longest-running theme park rides into a combination live-action/computer animated feature – “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride” reports Deadline.
The ride itself was based on one of the two segments in Disney’s 1949 film “The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad”, a segment which adapted elements of Kenneth Grahame’s 1908 literary classic “The Wind In The Willows”.
The ride is one of the few remaining attractions that was operational on the park’s opening day in 1955.
Commercials and music video helmer Pete Candeland will direct and Justin Springer (“Tron: Legacy”) will produce the project which is currently seeking scribes.
