Emily Mortimer (“Match Point”) and Michael Stuhlbarg (“A Serious Man”) have joined the cast of Martin Scorsese’s 3D family adventure “Hugo Cabret” reports Heat Vision.
Based on Brian Selznick’s novel “The Invention of Hugo Cabret”, the story follows an orphan boy (Asa Butterfield) living a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station. He is soon caught up in a magical, mysterious adventure that could put all of his secrets in jeopardy.
Mortimer plays the station’s flower shop girl and Stuhlbarg plays a film restorer. Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen, Asa Butterfield, Chloe Moretz, Jude Law, Ray Winstone, Christopher Lee, Helen McCrory, Frances de la Tour and Richard Griffiths also star.
John Logan adapted the script while Scorsese, Graham King, Tim Headington, and Johnny Depp will produce. Production is currently underway in the UK and the film is set to open December 9th 2011.
