Viggo Mortensen and rising scribe Hossein Amini (“Snow White and the Huntsman,” “Drive,” “47 Ronin”) are teaming up for indie thriller “The Two Faces of January” says The Los Angeles Times.
An adaptation of the 1964 suspense novel by “The Talented Mr. Ripley” and “Strangers on a Train” author Patricia Highsmith, the story follows an American con artist, his wife, and a stranger they meet while traveling in Athens.
After one of them kills a Greek police officer, the trio enter a high-stakes game with the authorities and one another as they attempt to cover up the crime and flee the country.
Amini will make his directing debut on the film while Mortensen will star as one of the two male leads, the other two leads have yet to be cast. Financing is currently being assembled.
