Legendary composer Ennio Morricone is set to re-team with his “Days of Heaven” director Terrence Malick on the famed filmmaker’s upcoming and forever in production documentary “Voyage Of Time”.
Wild Bunch’s official site (via The Playlist) reveals the news saying Morricone is providing original music for this non-fiction celebration of the universe,. The film is set to portray the whole of time, from its start to its final collapse. In the process is explores everything from the cosmos to tiniest of ecosystems.
The film is set to arrive in two versions – a 40-minute IMAX version narrated by Brad Pitt, and a feature-length edit narrated by Cate Blanchett. No word if Morricone will create two separate scores or simply cut down the feature-length one for the IMAX cut, also no word on a release date for either yet.
Morricone’s work can next be heard on Quentin Tarantino’s “The Hateful Eight”.
