Following on from yesterday’s announcement that Disney and Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok” will shoot in Australia comes work today that pre-production will get underway in January ahead of actual shooting in June.
The studio will film at many locations throughout Queensland, including utilising Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast.
Co-President of Marvel Studios Louis D’Esposito says: “Queensland offers an amazing and diverse backdrop for ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ and we are very excited to bring this film to such an incredible locale. Marvel Studios would like to thank the Queensland Government for helping to make this a reality.”
“What We Do in the Shadows” helmer Taika Waititi is slated to direct the project which has a scrupt by Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle. The project will be released in cinemas on November 3rd 2017.
