Whatever the hell is going on with the casting for the role of Rick Flagg in the upcoming comic book adaptation “Suicide Squad” at Warner Bros. Pictures, director David Ayer isn’t letting it get him down.
On Friday, the filmmaker posted a photo of his office whilst he’s in the middle of drafting the script and creating storyboards for the movie.

Then, over the weekend, more casting talk regarding the film emerged over at Joblo. Their sources talked about some potential candidates to play not just Rick Flagg but also his father, along with some of the other potential supporting roles in the film.
First up, they say Ed Harris and Max Martini (“Pacific Rim”) are currently under consideration for the father role, whilst Karl Urban has emerged as a potential candidate to play the younger Rick.
They also indicate the supervillain known as The Thinker will also be in the film and Geoffrey Rush has already apparently passed on the role. On top of that, Jason Clark (“Dawn of the Planet of the Apes”) joins Joe Manganiello (“True Blood”) as a potential candidate for the role of Deathstroke – a hired assassin competing with the Suicide Squad in the movie.
Finally, MTV recently caught up with actress Margot Robbie and asked about her thoughts about taking on the iconic Harley Quinn role in the film:
“Yeah, I guess it’s intimidating because there’s obviously a lot of people I want to please and a character I have to do justice, but it’s a challenge. I’m definitely up for it, and hopefully I don’t disappoint.”
