AMC has released more photos from their new six-part spy thriller event series adaptation of John LeCarre’s “The Little Drummer Girl” which will premiere November 19th.
Set in the late 1970s, the story follows Charlie (Florence Pugh), a fiery actress and idealist whose resolve is tested after she meets the mysterious Becker (Alexander Skarsgard) while on holiday in Greece.
It becomes apparent that his intentions are not what they seem, and she is now entangled in a complex plot devised by the spy mastermind Kurtz (Michael Shannon). Charlie takes on the role of a lifetime as a double agent.
The series marks the return of much of the team behind 2016’s acclaimed LeCarre adaptation “The Night Manager”. The project is a co-production of BBC, AMC and The Ink Factory with the series also marking the TV debut of acclaimed Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook (“Oldboy,” “Stoker”) who will direct all six episodes.
