More On Tom Ford & Clooney’s “Animals”

Further details have emerged regarding fashion designer Tom Ford much anticipated second film following his acclaimed 2009 debut “A Single Man”.

Ford is attached to direct “Nocturnal Animals,” an adaptation of Austin Wright’s 1993 post-modern noir thriller “Tony and Susan”. Ford also wrote the script, while George Clooney and Grant Heslov will produce.

The story follows a woman who receives a book manuscript from her ex-husband, a man whom she left twenty years earlier, asking for her opinion. It then splits in two.

The first plot follows the woman recalling her first marriage and confronting some dark truths, the second is the story of the novel in which a family vacation turns violent and deadly.

The project is presently not set up at a studio.
