More On Miller’s Spirit & Mob

It’s now confirmed that Lionsgate will distribute “300” creator and “Sin City” co-director Frank Miller’s own adaptation of the classic Will Eisner comicbook series “The Spirit” reports Variety.

Miller announced the project a year back, but only now has a studio come onboard. Shooting on the film will depend upon Miller’s schedule – which is already booked with the “Sin City” follow-up sometime soon.

The Spirit is a man who fakes his own death so he can fight crime from the shadows of Central City. His nemesis is the Octopus, who kills those unlucky enough to see his face and is looking to wipe out the entire city.

Odd Lot Entertainment, who will co-finance and produce, are also remaking the 1951 British heist comedy “The Lavendar Hill Mob”. Dean Parisot directs that production.
