The most anticipated big-budget AAA title of the next year or so is arguably “Cyberpunk 2077,” the long in the works newest title from “The Witcher” game series creators CD Projekt Red.
Now, a new deep-dive video has gone online following its premiere at the PAX West conference on Friday with attendees also getting more details on Keanu Reeves’ non-playable character Johnny Silverhand.
The charismatic character is described as a rebellious anti-corporate musician with his own agenda and a companion to V, the game’s protagonist, as they navigate the metropolis of Night City in the Free State of Northern California. Silverhand’s loyalties are entirely up to the decision making of players.
There’s also NetWatch, a policing unit set on keeping Night City citizens from being overrun by artificial intelligence while gangs like the Voodoo Boys are intent on connecting more with A.I. and expanding their power base.
“Cyberpunk 2077” will be released on April 16th 2020.
