Brontis Jodorowsky (“El Topo”) has scored the key role of Nicolas Flamel in the upcoming “Fantastic Beasts” sequel at Warner Bros. Pictures.
Flamel was first mentioned in the very first “Harry Potter” film as the alchemist who discovered the Elixir of Life and created the Philosopher’s Stone (aka. Sorcerer’s Stone). The character hasn’t been seen on screen before.
Also joining the cast are Wolf Roth as Spielman, Victoria Yeates as Bunty, Derek Riddell as Torquil Travers, Poppy Corby-Tuech as Rosier; and Cornell S John as Arnold Guzman.
Jessica Williams and Fiona Glascott have also joined the cast in undisclosed roles. The group join returnees Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Johnny Depp, and Ezra Miller. Jude Law, Zoe Kravitz, Callum Turner and Claudia Kim have previously joined the cast.
J.K. Rowling wrote the screenplay for the film, which opens in 1927 and a few months after events for the first. The new ‘Beasts’ opens November 16th 2018.
