It looks like the fifth season of beloved sitcom “Arrested Development” is finally happening, albeit some time after the revived show’s fourth season aired back in May 2013 on Netflix.
B.S. Report recently spoke with executive producer Brian Grazer who confirmed that seventeen new episodes are on the way, though it’s not indicated if all of them will be a part of one season or potentially split between several due to cast availability. Grazer says:
“I love Arrested Development, but it was never a huge thing. But people are loyal to it, and we’re going to do another 17 episodes. So stay tuned for Arrested Development.”
Grazer reportedly wouldn’t elaborate on a production schedule or confirm if Netflix will carry the fifth season like the way it did the fourth. Nor is there any word on the format the show will take beyond the episode count.
