Monumental Adapting “How To Build A Girl”

Monumental Pictures has acquired the film rights to famed columnist Caitlin Moran’s bestselling and vaguely autobiographical novel “How To Build A Girl”.

The story follows Wolverhampton-born teenager Johanna Morrigan, who moves to London and reinvents herself as a sexually adventurous music critic.

Moran and John Niven are adapting the script, while Alison Owen (“Saving Mr Banks,” “The Other Boleyn Girl”) and Debra Hayward (“Les Miserables,” “Bridget Jones’ Diary”) will produce along with Film4 who is backing the film’s development.
