Jason Momoa popped up for a panel at this week’s Comic-Con Experience in Brazil and answered a couple of questions (via DCU Movie Page) about his role as Aquaman in the upcoming DC Cinematic Universe films.
The biggest reveal is that Momoa’s contract is for just four movies. He didn’t confirm but this would likely include “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” the standalone “Aquaman” movie, and the two “Justice League” movies which would indicate you’re highly unlikely to see him cameo in other DC hero films.
Momoa says he wants Zack Snyder to direct the “Aquaman” movie, the question of Snyder’s availability though may prevent him from taking the gig.
Momoa says the character “will be a bad-ass, otherwise, they wouldn’t cast me for the role,” and confirmed he was hired for the role a long time before the announcement – but had to keep his mouth shut.
Finally, he says if he hadn’t landed the Aquaman role he wanted to do Lobo.
