Alfred Molina and Ben Kingsley have joined the cast of Jerry Bruckheimer and Disney’s “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” reports Variety.
The Mike Newell-directed adaptation of the Ubisoft video game series has Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role of a Persian prince. Gemma Arterton stars as his love interest Princess Farah.
Molina will play Sheik Amar, who becomes a mentor to the prince. Kingsley’s role is uncertain at this time but is likely to be the film’s villainous Vizier.
Shooting begins next month in the U.K. and Morocco.
