UK scribe Gary Mitchell has revealed that he had been commissioned to write the script for a biopic on Northern Ireland DUP leader Ian Paisley.
Some of the funding has is already in place, whilst Paisley’s family say they will insist on using Northern Ireland talent.
Although the actor who would play the the DUP leader has yet to be decided, hope is a major star would take on the role.
According to The BBC, Liam Neeson has said he is interested in playing the part, but his dealings with the DUP in the past have been unpromising.
There’s also a rival project in the works with the County Down film company who has already won funding from the film and television commission to develop a script.
