Misbehaviour Might End “Lethal Weapon” Series

Though a renewal of FOX’s action series “Lethal Weapon” for a third season is considered a fait accompli thanks to strong ratings, behind-the-scenes issues are reportedly holding up the process – specifically bad behaviour of co-lead Clayne Crawford.

Deadline reports that Crawford has had a history of bad behavior on the show, and has been disciplined several times over complaints of emotional abuse and creating a hostile work environment. Things have reportedly escalated to a point where other actors and crew feel uncomfortable being on set with him.

It’s bad enough that the problem is threatening the future of the show, with the idea of recasting being explored – or even potentially cancellation. “Rectify” star Crawford was a late addition to the series, coming on to play Martin Riggs not long before production began as opposed to co-star Damon Wayans who was with the series from its inception.

The show’s most recent season averaged a 1.7 rating and 6.9 million total viewers and is Fox’s No. 2 returning drama behind “Empire”.
