“Stranger Things” breakout star Millie Bobby Brown has closed a deal to star as Enola Holmes in a film franchise based on Nancy Springer’s mystery novels about the character at Legendary Entertainment.
The series kicked off with the 2006 title “The Case of the Missing Marquess” and followed six novels revolving around mysteries investigated by Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes’ much younger sister Enola who is a highly capable detective in her own right.
Several of the books in the series have been nominated for Edgar awards. Brown will also produce. She will soon be seen in a leading role in the upcoming “Godzilla” sequel also at Legendary.
