Miller, Skrein Sought For “Deadpool”

Funny man T.J. Miller and British action star Ed Skrein are in early talks to join the “X-Men” spin-off movie “Deadpool” at 20th Century Fox.

Ryan Reynolds stars as the wise-cracking mercenary with a wicked sense of humor and a taste for red and black outfits. VFX veteran Tim Miller is directing from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

The role for Miller (“Silicon Valley,” “Big Hero 6”) is said to serve as an additional comic voice to compliment Deadpool, who often breaks the fourth wall and speaks to the audience. Talks with Skrein (“The Transporter Legacy,” “Game of Thrones”) are said to be further along but his role remains unknown.

Lauren Shuler Donner is producing the film which is currently slated for a February 12th 2016 release.
