Penelope Ann Miller and Corbin Bleu (“High School Musical”) still star in the motocross action-drama movie “Free Style” for Rigel Entertainment reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The coming-of-age story centers on a young motocross racer (Bleu) who aspires to win the Amateur National Championships while struggling to support his family.
Miller will play Jeannette, a single working mom to one of the teenage racers who strives to provide for her family while studying full-time to become a nurse.
Real-life motocross star Grant Langston and Sandra Echeverria star as the racing champion that Bleu’s character and his rival (Matt Bellefleur) look up to, and Bleu’s girlfriend respectively.
Shooting began last month in Vancouver, but original helmer Jeff Woolnough (“Taken,” “Battlestar Galactica”) has since been replaced by William Dear.
