Mike Tyson Joins “Kickboxer” Sequel

Former world champion boxer Mike Tyson has joined the cast of “Kickboxer: Retaliation,” the upcoming sequel to the John Stockwell-directed remake “Kickboxer: Vengeance” which hits cinemas and VOD in September.

Alain Moussi, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dave Bautista, Gina Carano, Georges St-Pierre and Darren Shahlavi star in ‘Vengeance’ which follows Kurt Sloane (Moussi) who seeks revenge for the death of his brother at the hands of a deadly foe (Bautista) in an underground fighting ring.

In “Kickboxer: Retaliation,” Kurt is brought back forcibly to Thailand to fend for his life against a new formidable foe played by Hafpor Julius Bjornsson, best known as The Mountain on “Game of Thrones”. Tyson will portray a tough convict forced into a world of fighting behind bars.

Paige VanZant also stars in the sequel which is currently filming in California and Nevada and will head back to Thailand in June for final principal photography. Dimitri Logothetis is directing.
