Microsoft Unveils New Console First Details

Microsoft used their E3 press conference to announce their next generation of consoles – currently dubbed Project Scarlett – with plans to release it around the holidays next year.

The console is said to be 4x more powerful than the Xbox One X and boasts a Zen 2 CPU, high-bandwidth GDDR6 RAM and Navi GPU from AMD with the plan to have no loading screens.

There’s also a faster SSD, 8K capability, variable refresh rate with up to 120fps support for games, real-time next-gen ray tracing, and the SSD can be used as virtual RAM to deliver over 40x performance increases over the current generation.
