Nearly two years ago, right around the time “The Fate of the Furious” was wrapping up its theatrical run, came reports that Michelle Rodriguez was considering exiting the “Fast and Furious” franchise ahead of the next entry.
Rodriguez’s potential exit was seemingly prompted by her fair complaints that the female characters don’t get large roles or much interaction with each other. Rodriguez however has since leveraged her participation into getting a female writer on board for the next film according to Bloomberg.
Whom that writer might be is not clear yet but it has seen Rodriguez herself confirmed to be signed on for the next film which is expected to begin production later this year. Rodriguez revealed the news whilst speaking at a Future of Equality Summit in London.
