Michael Sucsy To Romance “Romeo & Juliet”

Michael Sucsy (HBO’s “Grey Gardens”) has signed a deal to direct an adaptation of Rebecca Serle’s upcoming novel “Rosaline” at Fox 2000 says The Hollywood Reporter.

This retelling of Shakespeare’s “Romeo & Juliet” is set in the 16th century and centers on 17-year-old Rosaline Capulet, the ex-girlfriend of Romeo, and her perspective of the iconic love story.

Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps is producing. The film rights to the book were optioned last Fall.
