Though filmmaker Josh Trank dropped out of the second “Star Wars” spin-off film which was rumored to focus on bounty hunter Boba Fett, a new report is now linking his “Chronicle” and “Fantastic Four” star Michael B. Jordan to the project.
The Wrap reporter Jeff Sneider appeared on the Meet the Movie Press podcast (via LR) recently where he dropped the announcement fairly casually, but did not go into any further details. Sneider’s track record with rumors though is usually quite reliable so it has some weight to it.
The project was originally slated to be released between “Star Wars: Episode VIII” and “Star Wars: Episode IX,” a position that’s instead been given over to Phil Lord & Chris Miller’s Han Solo spin-off. When the film will go ahead now is unclear.
