Michael B. Jordan has set the legal drama “Just Mercy” as the next feature he will shoot for Warner Bros. Pictures and Broad Green Pictures.
The true story follows Bryan Stevenson, a gifted young lawyer’s defense of the most vulnerable in our country and his fight for equal justice in a flawed legal system.
“Short Term 12” director Destin Cretton helms and co-wrote the script with Andrew Lanham. Jordan and Gil Netter will produce.
Jordan will film the project at the start of the year and then immediately segue to the “Creed” sequel which is slated for a November 21st 2018 release.
Jordan can be seen in both Marvel’s “Black Panther” and HBO’s “Fahrenheit 451” next year.
