Sony Pictures next installment in the “Men in Black” franchise is moving forward quickly with Omega Underground reporting that the F. Gary Grey-directed project is slated to start filming this summer – specifically in the U.K. in June.
At last report, Chris Hemsworth is being eyed to lead this upcoming sequel/spin-off which will follow the “Jurassic World” model in that it’s a sequel set in the same world but not involving any of the previous characters. Both a female MIB agent of color and an older man are expected to be the leads alongside Hemsworth in this new iteration which is also expected to shoot in Berlin.
The site also reports that the Gavin O’Connor-directed “Suicide Squad” sequel seems to have finally had settled on a production schedule with filming to kick off in the UK in October. The project will be shot at Leavesden, where “Justice League” was filmed and where “Wonder Woman 2” goes into production from May.
The next “Men in Black” opens in cinemas on June 14th 2019. The “Suicide Squad” sequel has yet to set a date.
