Mercy, “Law & Order” Axed; “Franklin” Ordered

NBC has officially cancelled the long-struggling medical drama “Mercy”, axing the series which most recently pulled a dismal 1.0 rating in the key demo reports The Live Feed.

The series joins last season’s other freshman medical drama “Trauma” which also scored the axe and averaged just 1.7 in its final days.

Law and Order
NBC has picked up the new drama “Law & Order: Los Angeles” and renewed “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” for the upcoming TV season.

However the move comes at the cost of mothership series “Law & Order” which is not being renewed and will conclude with a 20th season on May 24th – equalling Gunsmoke’s record as the longest running primetime series.

Franklin and Bash
TNT has ordered ten episodes of its new buddy lawyer series “Franklin & Bash”.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Breckin Meyer star as two street lawyers who cause a seismic culture clash when they join a legendary, button-down law firm. Malcolm McDowell also stars.
