HBO is reportedly developing a TV series adaptation of Stephen King’s recent novel “The Outsider” and have attached Ben Mendelsohn to star in the series.
Additionally, actor Jason Bateman is attached to direct and executive produce the series which follows a detective investigating the violent murder of an eleven-year-old boy. Having an ironclad case, he arrests the suspected perpetrator who is one of Flint City’s most popular citizens – only for everything to change as supernatural forces come in to play.
Richard Price is penning the adaptation which doesn’t yet have a production or air date. Australian actor Mendelsohn previously won an Emmy for his work on the Netflix series “Bloodline”. He’ll next be seen in “Captain Marvel” for Marvel Studios.
