Men in Black III Delayed Yet Again

The Los Angeles Times reports that the production schedule for “Men in Black III” has been pushed back yet again and won’t resume filming until March 28th.

As previously reported, this chapter involves time travel with much of the action taking place in 1969 where Josh Brolin plays the younger version of Tommy Lee Jones’ Agent Kay. Present day-set scenes were shot late last year in New York City.

Filming was then put on hold for two months for “seasonal concerns and tax incentives ” according to Producer Walter Parkes. Shooting was scheduled to start up again this week when the 60’s-set scenes will be filmed, now this delay extends that hiatus to almost four months.

“Tropic Thunder” writer Etan Cohen penned the first draft of the script while scribe Jeff Nathanson (“Catch Me If You Can,” “Rush Hour 2”) was hired very late last year to perform rewrites. Nathanson is still reportedly hammering out problems with Cohen’s previous draft.
