Mel Gibson is in negotiations to star in French filmmaker Benjamin Rocher’s action-adventure “Every Other Weekend”.
The script boasts a multigenerational-family storyline and centers on a father who has his son convinced he’s a CIA spy, but in actuality he works in the agency’s IT department.
However, on a father-son trip in Paris, the two find themselves in a life-threatening adventure in which secrets are spilled. Gibson will play the grandfather, who actually is a spy.
Brandon and Curtis Birtell wrote the original script and shooting kicks off at the end of the year. Clement Miserez, Peter Safran and Jean-Charles Levy are producing.
