While Alden Ehrenrich is set to play a young version of Harrison Ford’s iconic Han Solo character in an upcoming “Star Wars” spin-off film, there’s reportedly no plans to replace the actor in the role of Indiana Jones anytime in the near future.
Out doing the first bit of promotion for the new “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” film, actress Megan Fox has spoken with GameSpot.com and suggested herself as a potential replacement to take on the role of the legendary archeologist if those in charge ever considered seriously rebooting the property and going in a new direction:
“I’ve always wanted to do Tomb Raider, but its been done – and very well. So I guess I’d go with Indiana Jones, since I always loved how fun and free-spirited Indiana is. He’s an adventurous rogue archaeologist who barely escapes death chasing down treasures among the earth’s most mysterious sites. What’s not to love?”
Ford first introduced the character in 1981’s “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and is set to reprise the role for a fifth time in a new film due out in 2019. Both River Phoenix and Sean Patrick Flannery have played younger versions of the character in the past, but all rumors about Ford’s replacement to date have involved a male actor taking over the part.
