Sadly Ian McShane’s return to HBO next year in the sixth season of big-budget fantasy drama “Game Of Thrones” will be all too brief it seems.
POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD
For a while it has been known that McShane would be a part of the new episodes, though would only have a relatively small amount of screen time. Speaking with Pop Goes The News, McShane revealed that he’s actually only in one episode – but it’s a crucial role nonetheless:
“It’s a one-off episode, that’s why I did it. I am responsible for bringing somebody back that you think you’re never going to see again. I’ll leave it at that.”
The fifth season finale would make you suspect an obvious answer to whom he’s referring to, but it has been suggests that both former regulars Rory McCann (Sandor ‘The Hount’ Clegane) and Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark) have been spotted around regular filming locations in Belfast during the show’s sixth season production.
