McQueen Joins Disney Channel’s Minutemen

Steven R. McQueen, grandson of the late Steve McQueen, will star alongside Jason Dolley (“Cory in the House”) in the Disney Channel original movie “Minutemen” says The Hollywood Reporter.

In the comedic sci-fi/adventure, unpopular senior Virgil Fox (Dolley) — whose his childhood friends Derek (McQueen) and Stephanie (Chelsea Staub) are now part of the “in” crowd — befriends fellow student Charlie (Luke Benward), a prodigy who has invented a time machine.

The pair recruit school menace Zeke (Nicholas Braun) and conjure up a plan to go back in time to help themselves and prevent other misfits from enduring humiliating situations, calling themselves the Minutemen. But they soon learn that there are unexpected consequences.

Corbin Bleu (“High School Musical”) will perform the “Minutemen” song “Run It Back Again” in a music video premiering December 14th on the network. The movie is set to premiere at 8 pm on January 25th and marks the first major role for McQueen.
