Director-producer McG (“Charlie’s Angels,” “Terminator Salvation”) is set to begin production in May on “Rim of the World,” a sci-fi adventure feature that would mark his third film with Netflix.
The story is described as an epic adventure involving four misfit teenagers who become unlikely allies when their summer camp experience is cut short by an alien invasion. The teens must work together, overcome their fears and insecurities and work as a team as they attempt to save the world.
Zack Stentz (“Thor,” “X-Men: First Class”) penned the script while Mary Viola, Susan Solomon and Matt Smith produce. McG previously helmed “The Babysitter” for the streaming giant, along with producing “When We First Met”.
