A couple more names look to have signed on for the next 007 adventure. Last week came word that unknown actress Berenice Marlohe has scored the role of the main ‘Bond girl’ in this outing.
Today, reliable UK columnist Baz Bamigboye says that Marlohe is confirmed for the part, while the previously rumoured Ben Whishaw is also set for an unknown role in the film.
Then comes a new name, “Harry Potter” and “The Queen” actress Helen McCrory has joined the film in an unspecified role. They join a returning Daniel Craig as James Bond, Judi Dench as M, Javier Bardem as the villain, Ralph Fiennes in an unspecified key role, Rory Kinnear as MI6 staffer Bill Tanner, and Naomi Harris as Miss Moneypenny. Simon Russell Beale, who was rumoured to have a role, may now be out due to a scheduling conflict.
While the title has already been set according to Daniel Craig, EON has yet to announce it or confirm/deny the reports this week of domain name purchases by Sony Pictures hinting that the project will be called “Skyfall”. The British press have also been rife with speculation that singer Adele is working on the title track for the film.
