McAuliffe, Boneta Join “Paradise Lost”

Callan McAuliffe (“I Am Number Four”) has joined the cast while Diego Gonzalez Boneta is being eyed for the role of Adam in Alex Proyas’ “Paradise Lost” at Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures reports Variety.

The film is an adaptation of John Milton’s 17th-century poem about the epic war in heaven between archangels Michael (Benjamin Walker) and Lucifer (Bradley Cooper). Djimon Hounsou and Casey Affleck also star.

McAuliffe will play the role of the Archangel Uriel, one of the first seven archangels created by God and the dedicated second-in-command to Michael who leads Heaven’s army against Lucifer’s rebellion.

Boneta would play the first man Adam, opposite the first woman Eve whom Camilla Belle is rumoured to be playing.
