Out doing promotions for “Morning Glory”, Rachel McAdams tells MTV News that she’s unsure yet if she will return in any capacity in the currently shooting “Sherlock Holmes” sequel.
“It’s kind of all still in the process. They’re still doing script work, and we’ll see. If I do, it won’t be a very big thing. It’s not a lead part” says McAdams about returning to the role of Irene Adler which served as the female lead in the first film.
“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” star Noomi Rapace is playing the main female character in the sequel, with the role likely to be less of a love interest than McAdams’ part.
It has long been thought McAdams will cameo, but now that seems questionable. However with only about a month of filming in the can, there’s still a decent way to go on the film’s production.
