Max Landis Pens A Pepe Le Pew Film

Talking up his new TV series “Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency,” screenwriter Max Landis (“Chronicle,” “Victor Frankenstein”) revealed that he’s currently at work on a project you might not have expected – a Warner Bros. Pictures animated film based on the classic Looney Tunes character Pepe Le Pew.

Deadline reports that Landis’ pitch on the material got the studio excited enough to more forward on this take of the overly amorous skunk. Little else is known about the project beyond it being the first animation project Landis has worked on.

Pepe Le Pew was created by Chuck Jones and voiced by legendary voice actor Mel Blanc.
